What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant position at JB James Construction?
JB James Construction has an immediate opening for a Project Accountant. Responsible for all billing, AP processing, payroll, equipment and project reporting functions associated with a given project.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and enter monthly project billings
- Ensure time is being reported accurately
- Process AP invoices
- Analyze & review cost/revenue for monthly projections
- Monthly DBE reporting
- Timely reporting of certified payroll for all Subcontractors
- Maintain and update quantities in Viewpoint
- Maintain material tracking spreadsheets
Required Skill/Knowledge:
- Job Cost accounting
- Able to work without supervision
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must be organized, detail oriented and accurate
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills/ Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years construction project accounting experience.
- Proficient with MS Office and MS Outlook.
- Experience with Viewpoint and Pvault software
Education Level / Required Certification:
- B.S in Accounting/Finance or related field. (preferred)
