Description
Ensure the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of clinics front office activities.
- Advanced understanding of PPO, HMO and EPO Insurance Plans
- Advanced understanding of obtaining insurance authorizations
- Answer and direct phones call
- Handle patient appointment/scheduling
- Review therapist's schedules, individual patient charts and assist the therapist in coordinating care for visits
- Provide an effective communication link between patient and therapist's, including relaying messages from providers
- Obtain patient, billing and insurance information in order to maintain current and accurate information in patient charts
- Perform general clerical functions as necessary including filing, copying and scanning
- Collection of copay's
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills and an ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Some understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping including basic math skills
- Working knowledge of all standard office equipment
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Spanish Preferred
Must be available to work in Stockton, Lodi and Manteca. Must be available M-F from 7:00am-7:00pm.
