What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Operator / Survey Technician position at JBM Data System, LLC?

LAND SURVEYING COMPANY SEEKING SURVEY TECHNICIAN/ CAD OPERATOR

Our company was founded in 2004, with a vision to fill the gaps between well- established local companies who do not keep up with new technology, and the big companies with slow mobilization and huge overhead, which are exclusively targeting major government projects. We are located in Coral Gables, Florida, and the majority of our core business is focused on bringing complete, integrated solutions that provide a seamless flow of position information in the field and in the office simultaneously. To do this, JBMDS utilizes advanced positioning technologies (including Global Positioning System or GPS, optical, and laser technologies) combined with wireless communication and application software, to get data accuracy down to the millimeter. This increases productivity through time and cost savings. The cost savings can be significant, as the need for unqualified labor is reduced, rework from mistakes is less frequent, and the time to finish a job is shortened. Our Company provides complete solutions to three core markets: state and local governments, engineering/architectural design and construction, and high-value data collection. JBMDS targets these markets through strategic alliances with industry leaders, and a global distribution channel that the company believes is essential in the industry. We are the leading innovator in utilizing GPS-GIS technology through the development of data packages, which we implement into our clients’ existing GIS. Using GPS components, our customers can determine positions and connect to relevant data. This information remains important today for synchronization of the existing systems with “real-life changes”, changes in technology, and consumer applications such as in-vehicle navigation and wireless handhelds (cell phones, PDA's, etc.). JBMDS selects specialized hardware and software for each project to optimize efforts and to get accurate and low- cost products in a customized package delivered to our clients.
