Human Resource Generalist    

Division/Department: Pork    

Location:   Marshalltown         Salary: SE                                    Shift-Varies (MUST BE FLEXIBLE)   

Reports to:  Human Resource Manager 

  

Internal Candidates with less than 3 Attendance points will be considered for position 

  

General Description: Applies business knowledge and human resources expertise to every facet of the company.  Assists in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. Plays a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management. Other duties as assigned.

  • Analytical skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Self Motivated/ High Sense of urgency
  • Able to perform under High Stress situations
  • Bilingual Preferred
  • Good Attendance record
  • Trustworthy-Will be handling confidential material
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
  • Knowledge of employment law practices.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Database software

  

Education Requirements (if applicable) 

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in meat processing or other manufacturing setting
