The PURCHASING RECEIVING CLERK is responsible for receiving and delivering all food, beverage and other related products as well as maintaining the storerooms.
This position is also responsible for prioritizing and creating a continuous flow, working in the Purchasing Department as it pertains to Receiving and Warehouse practices, and proper food and beverage safety handling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to :
- Receive all products in accordance with receiving SOPs.
- Ensure efficiency and flow throughout the facility, to include that all product received is accurately signed for, documented with proper signatures, dated properly, and the received is appropriately verified.
- Responsible for verification of product deliveries per specifications and quality levels and communicates discrepancies timely to management.
- To ship and receive hotel and guest packages as directed and maintain proper incoming and distribution logs.
- Trace lost shipments and / or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
- Contact vendors for missing paperwork / invoices, credits, and pricing discrepancies caught on the receiving area if no lead is available.
- Monitor POs in system and ensure all orders and paperwork are received correctly.
- Monitor requisitions, ensuring all orders and paperwork are pulled and closed correctly. Investigate open requisitions from each day and collaborate with the team to timely address and resolve any discrepancies.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL : Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Must be detail oriented and accurate and have good mathematical skills, including the use of the calculator.
Must have strong computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to recognize various food and beverage items. Must display knowledge of currently accepted business phone etiquette.
Hotel experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Stands / walks approximately 80% of shift. Sits at desk approximately 20% of shift. Bends, lifts, reaches, and pushes to perform routine job tasks.
Constantly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short distances. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
