GL - SS Assembly (Fixed)

Assembly Group Leader Position Purpose This position is responsible for providing adequate support to the Assembly area with increased volume and growth.    Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities Supporting and developing the entire Assembly team, including a minimum of four Team Leaders and fifty Team Members Manage all aspects of Assembly including planning, organizing, staffing, etc. Responsible for meeting production requirements while also meeting performance metrics in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost   Nature & Scope Reports to Assembly Manager   Minimum Qualifications Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable. High school diploma Five years of previous manufacturing experience Three years in a leadership role     Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field Seven years of assembly experience in a related industry Five years in a leadership role    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP Effective verbal and written communication skills Good organizational skills Able to use creative problem-solving skills Detail oriented and self-directed Ability to multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency Ability to be flexible with work activities Ability to give direction well, either verbal or written Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required Physical Requirements Must be able to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to 12 hour shifts/7 days a week. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.  These activities may involve fine movements or large motions. Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist. Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed. Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force. Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in multiple climates including  hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.
