General Description 

 

Provide ongoing maintenance to the Recreation Pool, Lap Pool, Hot Tub, and deck area to help ensure cleanliness, safety and member satisfaction by completing daily, weekly and monthly tasks. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Vacuum Pools and Hot Tub 

  • Scrub scum lines of Pools and Hot Tub 

  • Bleach deco-seal/caulking around pools 

  • Empty Bio-Hazard Bin & Trash 

  • Scrub Tiling  

  • Power Wash the Deck Area 

  • Perform vacuum maintenance 

  • Clean Handicap Lifts / Benches 

 

Requirements 

 

  • Ability to lift 50lb’s safely 

  • Must be able to work with chemicals  

  • Ability to pass a safety swim test. Active lifeguard certification preferred 

  • Be able to preform physical labor for multiple hours 

  • Commit to a quarterly schedule 

  • Consistency, reliability, and punctuality 

  • Basic understanding of pool chemistry testing and adjusting 

 

Working conditions 

 

All Maintenance shifts are to be done after hours. Average shift times are 8:45pm-10:45pm, Monday-Friday and 4:45pm-6:45pm Saturday-Sunday. 

 

Physical requirements 

 

This position requires the individual to be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. and can maneuver large cumbersome objects and equipment (vacuums, brushes, chemicals). This individual must be able to spend extended amounts of time standing, crouching and on their hands and knees while performing primary duties.
