Job Overview:
JCSI, a recruitment consulting firm, is working with AtkinsRealis to find a talented Associate Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Exton, PA. In this role, you will work on a range of electrical engineering projects, focusing on complex design/build tasks in the industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Create electrical system concepts and perform electrical load calculations for facilities in the industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food sectors.
- Power Distribution: Develop single-line diagrams and layouts for power distribution systems.
- Lighting Systems: Perform lighting calculations and coordinate designs with architects to ensure proper integration.
- Miscellaneous Systems: Design electrical systems such as fire alarms, communication, and security systems.
- Coordination: Work closely with mechanical and process engineers to meet electrical requirements for HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment.
- Field Review & Commissioning: Oversee construction, perform field reviews, and participate in the commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet project specifications.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of electrical design experience, particularly in industrial and manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with electrical load calculations and preparing single-line diagrams.
- Lighting calculation skills and the ability to coordinate system layouts with project teams.
- Knowledge of miscellaneous electrical systems such as fire alarms, communications, and security systems.
- Ability to coordinate electrical needs for HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment.
- Field review and commissioning experience to ensure system compliance with design specs.
Additional Skills:
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Experience working in design/build project environments.
Educational Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Additional certifications or training in electrical engineering.
Compensation:
- Up to $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
Work Environment:
- Location: Exton, PA (hybrid and remote work options available).
- Work Hours: Flexible schedules, with occasional travel to project sites for field reviews and commissioning.
