Job Summary:
JCW is partnered with a CPA firm seeking a highly experienced and motivated Tax Director with a strong background in real estate taxation to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with pass-thru entities, S-corporations, and partnerships, particularly in the real estate sector. This position offers the flexibility to work from our NYC or Long Island office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage tax compliance and consulting for real estate clients, including partnerships, S-corporations, and pass-thru entities.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services focused on maximizing tax efficiencies for real estate investors and developers.
- Review and manage complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted tax advisor.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the real estate industry.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring they have the tools to grow and succeed within the firm.
- Stay current on tax regulations affecting real estate entities, ensuring clients remain compliant with the latest rules and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- 8 years of tax experience, with a significant focus on real estate, pass-thru entities, S-corporations, and partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations relevant to real estate.
- Proven ability to manage complex tax compliance and consulting engagements.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
