What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Collector position at JD Byrider?
Responsible for resolving customer delinquency and insuring that customer goals of establishing or re-establishing credit are met through timely payments. Also responsible for achieving established delinquency, charge-off and total collection goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include achieving positive results in three key areas: Customer Service, Operations, Administration. Other duties as assigned.
Customer Service
- Focuses on the customer by asking questions, listening and determining solutions to problems.
- Understands the objective of establishing or re-establishing customer credit.
- Clearly explains this objective to the customer and how CNAC can help them accomplish it.
Operations
- Conducts ‘Introduction Call’ within three days of sale.
- Follows all local, state and federal laws pertaining to collection of delinquent payments.
- Contacts all delinquent customers by phone, or if necessary, in person, to arrange payment.
- Achieves daily and monthly calls and account-delinquency percentage goals.
- Locates delinquent customers with unknown addresses or phone numbers.
- Advises manager of account status, who ultimately determines course of action.
- Documents all customer contact or attempted contact.
- Assists with cashiering as needed.
Administration
- Formally documents all collection activity using the proprietary software.
- Knows and uses computer procedures related to collection activity.
- Knows and uses applicable computer reports and Management Boards.

Education and/or Experience
Previous consumer loan or collection experience, keyboarding/computer skills, excellent organizational skills, clear written and oral communication skills, good ability to interact with all levels of management, must be bondable.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
