Junior BI Software Developer

In this position you will perform technical and analytical duties relative to design, development, and programming of business intelligence applications and software systems over a variety of platforms with a focus on Azure and PowerBI. You will also be responsible for developing project time and cost estimates and has a thorough understanding of hardware, software and programming languages used in his or her environment. In addition, you will lead the activities of other team members in planning, designing, development and programming. Primary duty must be the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations; this also includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

• Writes code in accordance with the design document.
• Ensures code runs efficiently.
• Analyzes performance indicators to ensure system is operating efficiently and recommends improvements.
• Ensures projects meet appropriate time schedules.
• Keeps users and leadership informed of the status of projects.
• Provides guidance and training to less-experienced developers and programmers.

Education and experience needed for this position:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field is required.
• One to Three years of experience administering or utilizing a Business Intelligence development tool such as PowerBI, Cognos, or Tableau.
• One year of experience managing data sources for a Business Intelligence platform.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward highly available and scalable global solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Data Analytics.
• Requires strong multitasking skills.
• Self-starter and able to deliver results on a proactive and independent basis.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Partners with both business and technical team members.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
