Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors on our construction sites. You will implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct regular inspections, and provide training to promote a safe work environment.

• Maintain and enforce company safety policy.

• Perform safety inspections.

• Stay abreast of OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations (New and Old)

• Maintain all records required by law.

• Send out weekly safety topics

• Attend and review daily JSA’s

• Conduct scheduled companywide safety meetings

• Perform job site safety inspections and report

• Respond, investigate and report all accidents and near misses.

• Maintain and update company safety manual as needed.

• Maintain SDS log.

• Keep all required certifications and training current for all employees.

• Schedule and perform required training.

• Stay up to date on DOT regulations and monitor that tractor trailers remain safe.

Position Requirements Required Skills/Abilities

• OSHA 30

• Current First Aid/CPR Certification

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years job-related experience

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. carry at least 30 pounds

• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces

• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions, hot and cold weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Safety Officer: 5 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Corpus Christi, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
