Jean Cocteau Cinema Bartender

The Jean Cocteau Cinema, a Highgarden Entertainment company located in Santa Fe's Railyard, is seeking a committed, rock star bartender to provide excellent service to patrons. Reporting to the General Manager, the bartender will staff the bar, including serving alcoholic beverages, adding to a great atmosphere, and creative experiences and events for all visitors. The Jean Cocteau is a small theater with a capacity of 76; the staff is small and hands on.

· Full time, non-exempt, up to 40 hours

· $20 per hour plus tips

· Wednesday through Sunday, between the hours of 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities:

• Open the bar for service, prepare garnishes serve customers at the bar from a menu of classic and specialty drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and supplies including checking inventory, taking out trash, restocking bathrooms, etc.
• Assist in preparing for, and working, events.
• Follow quality and safety controls.
• Will learn and may assist in developing a natural wine program.
• Support a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.

Requirements:

• NM Alcohol Servers Certification
• 2 years bartending experience
• 1 year Point of Sale (POS) experience.
• Proficient in, or ability and interest in becoming proficient in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Understanding of mixology, serving limits, and legal compliance issues related to alcohol service.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities.
• Ability and willingness to be flexible and pitch in in other areas as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, for prolonged periods, bend, reach and occasionally carry heavy items.
• We follow all CDC sanitization requirements and prevailing masking/distancing/capacity ordinances if any.
