GROUP DESCRIPTION: Apex Credit Partners LLC (“Apex”) is an asset management platform focused on managing leveraged loans and CLOs with approximately $4.3 billion in assets under management. Apex is wholly-owned by Jefferies Finance LLC, a joint venture of Jefferies Group LLC and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company formed in 2004.
POSITION: Apex is actively looking for an experienced Sr Vice President level position for our New York mid-town office with the following attributes:
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications. POSITION: Apex is actively looking for an experienced Sr Vice President level position for our New York mid-town office with the following attributes:
- Analyst buy-side role with 10 years of overall experience
- Underwriting of leveraged loan transactions as well as monitoring existing exposures within assigned industry sectors
- Analyze primary issuance and secondary market opportunities
- Conduct investment due diligence and assess key credit considerations
- Preparation of underwriting approval/decline memos for formal credit committee approval
- Continuous oversight/coverage of all investments
- Provide quarterly analysis of financial and operating performance
- Prepare amendment, waiver, and consent requests
- Buy/hold/sell recommendations based on credit and relative value
- Significant experience in bank loan underwriting and research with in-depth quantitative credit, financial analytical, and critical thinking skills expertise
- Demonstrated modeling, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Significant experience analyzing CIMs, models, credit agreements, and term sheets
- Team player who is a resourceful self-starter, willing to assist with the training of junior analysts, and to work on special projects
- Strong experience with the following industries: consumer products, retail
- CFA, MBA, and/or formal credit training is a plus
