As a Residential Electrician for Jefferson Electric and Solar, your primary responsibility is to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential buildings. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of electrical systems within homes. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, and fixtures in residential properties.
Ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems, including outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
Install and connect electrical appliances and equipment according to safety standards.
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and code violations.
Perform electrical testing to ensure systems meet safety and performance standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
Code Compliance:
Stay updated on local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant electrical codes.
Document work and maintain accurate records to demonstrate compliance.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their electrical needs and concerns.
Provide estimates for electrical projects and explain the scope of work to customers.
Address client questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Safety Procedures:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
Educate clients on electrical safety measures.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
Marion county Electrical License
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments and conditions.
Valid Indiana Driver's License
