EXAMINATION IS ANNOUNCED TO ESTABLISH AN EMPLOYMENT LIST TO FILL ONE (1) CURRENT EAST JEFFERSON VACANCY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF JEFFERSON COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM AND FUTURE VACANCIES AS THEY OCCUR.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The purpose of the position is to implement and supervise the activities associated with providing various social services as required by local, state and federal law. The employee carries out the mission, vision, and values of Jeff CAP HS B-5. Carries out HS B-5 performance standards and requirements of the HS Act. Responsible for the hire, training, supervising, managing, and evaluating of Family Service Specialists (FSS). Provides community resources and networks with other agencies to provide comprehensive services to the families of Head Start. Monitors and audits ChildPlus Net to ensure daily attendance is recorded correctly and proper record keeping of student data is accurate. Submit monthly reports to HS B-5 Administrator, Policy Council, and Governing Board. Act as liaison person between center, home, and community. Performs related work as required. Position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use (business travel is reimbursed on a mileage basis) will be given preference.

(ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL)The examination may consist of a written test, a rating of training and experience, an oral panel interview or any combination thereof. Acceptable applicants will be notified of the time, date, and place of any assembled testing.
