Continued employment is contingent upon funding from the grant.
Salary: Based on education and experience commensurate with Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule D3 ($30,675-$51,171). This is a nine-month position. Summer employment may be available (an additional $10,225-$17,056) dependent upon enrollment.
The full-time instructor of adult education is an employee working 35 hours per week in the program. The instructor provides direct instruction to students and carries out other instructional duties and instructional support operations according to the provisions of the Alabama State Plan for Adult Education and Family Literacy. The instructor will work with learners who are at least 16 years of age and lack basic educational skills to function effectively in society; do not have a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent (GED); have not achieved a 12.9 learning level in reading, writing, social studies, science, and/or mathematics; or who are unable to speak, read, or write the English language.
