Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will support the LaCantina organization by carrying out many of the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with the monthly close
• Maintains the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedule
• Prepares general ledger entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclasses
• Performs recurring balance sheet reconciliations
• Assists with company adherence to expense report policy
• Provides backup to A/R and A/P functions
• Assists with various reporting requirements
• Performs financial analysis and research as necessary
• Performs ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, or a Bachelors degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, is required
• Minimum 1 year Fince or Accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
