About the PM Role:
This is a full-time role as a Construction Project Manager located in our main office in Jamaica, Queens. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects throughout New York City from start to finish, ensuring the job is completed on-time and under budget.
Your responsibilities will include quotes/buyouts, subcontractor onboarding, creating /updating the project schedule, prepare/log submittals, prepare/log RFIs, prepare/log Change Orders, pencil copies, daily report oversight, progress meetings and tracking of cost performance. This role will also involve your assistance in coordination, a problem-solving mindset, regular visits to jobsites, overseeing tasks delegated to assistant PM, and closing out jobs in a timely manner.
Educational And Professional Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of industry experience (working for a GC, construction manager, or engineering firm) is required.
- A proven track record as a Project Manager or a similar role, successfully managing construction projects with multiple subcontractors and contract amounts ranging from $1M to $30M.
- Must be able to efficiently multi-task and manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills along with the ability to positively represent the company to clients.
- Experience with any of the following software or similar is a plus: ProCore, Microsoft Project, P6 (general knowledge), Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Sage 100, eBuilder
- Experience working with public agencies as a GC / Prime contractor is strongly considered. (NYCHA, NYC HHC, MTA, NYC Parks, PANYNJ, SUNY, DASNY, SCA)
- OSHA 30 is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or similar is a plus but not required.
- PE license (NYS) is a plus but not required.
