SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To manage and perform all the tasks related to the day-to-day duties of fleet maintenance, delivery route planning, driver scheduling, and all aspects of building maintenance/upkeep. Focus on communication with drivers and the shipping department regarding the daily deliveries.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Develop and implement processes to streamline the delivery process. Includes evaluation/implementation of procedures to determine potential improvements and the creation of processes for employees. Key duties include but are not limited to, delivering orders to customers within our delivery area, organization of the driver area, staging and verification of orders to be delivered, fleet maintenance, and maintenance of the property.
2. Manage and oversee all delivery drivers with open and consistent communication. This includes oversight of weekly driver schedule, performing daily route planning, as well as maintaining a monthly scorecard and meeting. This will also include oversight of all training for drivers.
3. Fleet maintenance includes keeping vehicles in working and safe condition, purchasing replacement or new vehicles, conducting insurance audits, assisting with fuel program, and mastering our dashcam/tracking system Motive. This also includes overseeing a preventative maintenance schedule for all company vehicles.
4. Building maintenance includes oversight and communication of all areas related to the safe and efficient working conditions of the building and property. This includes maintaining a consistent schedule for cleaning of the facilities, lawn care, wintertime plowing/salting/safety of the lots and walkway, as well as oversight of heating, cooling, overhead door operation, facilities, building improvement projects, etc.
5. Lead contact on all matters related to LTL trucks. Including scheduling incoming shipments, prepping (including quotes) and scheduling outgoing shipments, and processing any LTL claims that may arise.
6. Assist operations team with all warehouse functions including but not limited to, shipping, receiving, and inventory organization/management.
7. Suggest improved methods and practices for the business operations when experience and common-sense dictates.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
· Computer (Windows 10/11) with Microsoft Teams, Excel; Printer/copier.
· Software required to optimize delivery routes (Route XL)
· Mechanical tools (screwdriver, hammer, nail gun, plastic strapping, and related tools mainly for building pallets on large items being shipped via LTL)
· Familiarity with delivery vans/box trucks.
