What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at Jennmar Services?
The Production Manager shall organize the resources and services necessary to produce goods, including production scheduling, staffing and inventory control. Thus coordinating production activities among departments.
The primary function is to layout the schedule so that production quotas are met. Also decide what over time or extra shifts will be required and what the sequence of production will be.
The Production Manager shall monitor the production runs to ensure the shop stays on schedule and fix any complications that may arise.
All of these activities are coordinated through the Plant Superintendent.
Other functions: Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed by the Plant Superintendent.
Education: Collège Degree (Preferred).
Experience: 1 year experience in an manufacturing environment and in an Supervisory role.
Skills/Ability: Use of mathematical formulas and other means to analyze and coordinate the plant production performances.
Work Direction Over Others: Department Supervisors
Supervision Received: Plant Superintendent.
Physical : On feet standing/walking 95% of time. Must be able to reach,
grasp, twist, turn. Must be able to see and speak with employees. Able to lift
and carry approx. 50 lbs on occasions. Able to work while wearing required PPE.
Hazards: Welding. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Exposure to noise,
dust, vapors and odors.
Stressors: Welding. Production based and fast pace. Changes in production plans to meet customer needs.
