Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support. Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations
- Perform basic medical procedures such as administering injections, collecting lab specimens, and dressing wounds
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant required
- Familiarity with patient care in various settings such as geriatrics, urgent care, hospital medicine, or internal medicine is a plus
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) procedures
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing electronic health records
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain patient records and manage administrative tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
