Jerry Pittman is hiring for a VP of Finance in Pascagoula, MS. This onsite position requires US citizenship.
GENERAL FUNCTION: Directing and analyzing the division’s financial activities that includes budgets, cost controls, financial analysis, forecasts and accounting functions in addition to managing the accounting and business management departments.
TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
Preparing timely and accurate analyses, summaries and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the facility and routine reviews of revenue cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance.
Work closely with department managers, general manager and senior managers to maximize profitability and ensure adherence to corporate financial policies.
Will act as a contact with company and governmental authorities including SUPSHIP and Defense Contract Audit Agency. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
10 years of proven accounting experience including five (5) years within a supervisor or leadership role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters.
Experienced in working with the Federal Acquisition Regulations requirements within the financial aspects of government projects.
Solid knowledge of GAAP, CAS, principles, practices, analytical procedures and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to multi-task and handle large volumes of work.
Ability to effectively implement processes and drive change.
Strong critical thinking, analytical and problems solving skills.
Proficiency in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.) and general accounting software.
CPA, CMA and/or MBA designations are preferred.

Pay: $63,205.00 - $89,316.00 per year
