Status:
Per Diem - requires 2 shifts per month
Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care for patient on assigned nursing unit
Demonstrates the ability to make effective nursing judgments in routine/emergency situations
Provides preventative measures to maintain patient safety
Assesses/provides age specific treatment/care
Practices universal precautions, inflection control, and isolation procedures
Participates in patient/family education
Maintains accurate/concise documentation
Participates in discharge planning
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Current Illinois RN license registration
Current CPR certification
Clinical experience preferred, but not required
Good knowledge of the Nursing Process and strong nursing practice skills, including physical assessment skills
