Fleet Controller/ Dispatcher
Job Posting for Fleet Controller/ Dispatcher at Jet Couriers
Duties
- Dispatch drivers to designated locations based on customer requests and scheduling needs
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers regarding estimated arrival times
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient routes and timely deliveries
- Monitor road conditions, construction zones, and accidents in order to revise routes as needed
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the delivery process
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls and messages from customers, and drivers
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using dispatch software and other relevant technology tools
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and geography is an asset
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
