What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ground Instructor position at Jet Edge?
Jet Edge is currently looking for two Ground Instructor that would provide Part 135 required ground school instruction for the pilot group in the Columbus, OH area. The instructor would also maintain and assist in developing courseware, along with assisting in the development of eLearning programs required for continuing pilot qualification.
Responsibilities
- Planning and efficient scheduling of all Ground Instruction activities
- Responsible for course-ware development and course content. This may include:
- Create new training modules to include presentations and supporting material
- Create and update PowerPoint Presentations
- Update Computer Based Training content (BOOM Training)
- Developing printed and/or electronic course ware and revising training documents as needed.
- Teaching any new curriculum as required to meet the changing training needs of JetEdge
- Provides a point of communication for students before and during Ground Training
- Monitor student progress and intervene with additional training or counseling when needed
- Provides technical leadership to team and department members. Leads through example; monitors, influences and trains others. Provides input to supervisor on performance reviews and helps to identify development needs
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations related to pilot training
- Promote company brand and culture
- Perform other duties assigned by the Manager of Training
- Must reside in the Columbus, OH area
Requirements
- Previous teaching/instructing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively to large groups
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft software products.
- Must be highly motivated and posses strong initiative.
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience
- Associates degree or higher
- Previous aviation experience
