JOB TITLE: After School Program Staff
REPORTS TO: Youth and Teen Director
OVERVIEW: After school program staff are assigned to a group of students to supervise them, engage in after-school activities, planning activities (as applicable), being a positive role model, being flexible, and having a positive attitude throughout each day. After school program staff will report to the Youth and Teen Director. This position is classified as a Part-Time, Non-Exempt and is not benefits eligible. The Jewish Community Center is an EOE (equal opportunity employer).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Protect the health and safety (emotional and physical) of all participants during the program
- Provide experiences that promote individual and group growth
- Actively participate in all aspects of the program experience with the participants
- Serve as a role model for young children while emphasizing Jewish values
- Follow the assigned work schedule
- Remain with the participants at all times
- Participate in all program activities and interact with the participants during these activities
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to cooperate with others
- Ability to supervise participants
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to carry-out daily and special programs
- Experience working with children
- Demonstrates an energetic and positive attitude
- Be dependable and have excellent communication skills
- Professional in appearance, manner and tone
- Possess an attitude that makes for harmonious cooperation with campers, parents, and other staff
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including the booster
