The Jewish Community Center has been a big part of Omaha for more than eight decades! We opened our doors in 1925, and still today, continue to serve everyone in the community with our state-of-the-art facilities, outstanding programs and dedicated staff.
We're so glad that so many members of our Omaha community participate in JCC programs. On any one day at the "J" you can see the full range of activities for children as young as 6 weeks old to seniors in their 90's still keeping active and fit.
Bartender Seasonal PT
Qualifications To be eligible for a job position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- They should be at least 19 years of age.-
- Previous experience in the food service or hotel/restaurant industry is preferable.
- They should have a basic understanding of food and beverage service procedures.
- Knowledge of bar/restaurant supplies, equipment, and inventory control is an added advantage.
- Basic math skills are necessary, and the candidate should have experience in operating and reading computerized cash registers and tape readouts
- The candidates must pass a drug and background check.
- They should be physically fit and able to sit, kneel, bend, twist, reach above their head, and climb.
- The job requires standing for long periods of time.
- Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods
- Base pay plus tips
The Special Events Bartender will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Set up and dismantle the bar as required.
- Mix drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, adhering to JCC recipes and state regulations.
- Create garnishes for events when necessary.
- Mainly available for Saturday/Sunday shifts from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Availability for some evenings, holidays, and additional special events throughout the year is also expected.
- Handle cash register operations, process transactions, and provide accurate change.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
