Strengthen agency's fund-raising capacity
Establish a strategized giving program that focuses on engaging existing donors, contacting and engaging new prospects
Establish personal relationships with donors, identifying their interests and educating them about JFCS programs that would appeal to them
Personally solicit 100 - 150 prospects with an emphasis on leadership level annual gifts at $1,000 and above
Develop and implement donor recognition program
Work with and support the Board of Directors in their stewardship of specific donors
Plan and execute Legacy Society events for donors
Provide team support for the activities and events sponsored by the Development Department
Donor stewardship and solicitation of major donors, prospects and Legacy Society members
Ensure compliance with all agency policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and the release of Protected Heath Information (PHI) as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Support the CEO in the implementation of the annual fundraising plan
Work closely with the Development and Marketing team to deliver a high level of awareness of JFCS programs and services
Develop an ongoing Planned Giving program leveraging increased support from current donors and creating plans to attract new levels of donors - taking specific responsibility for attracting new younger families in the Sarasota area to support the work of JFCS (community-based fundraising)
Support the recruitment of legacy donors and programs in line with external partnerships
Attend a wide range of networking events to promote the message of JFCS and the opportunities available to support the work of the organization
Instrumental in successful execution of all fundraising events

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Finance or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fundraising, non-profit, client centric environment; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; dedication to the mission of the agency; proficiency in Donor Perfect software or a similar database.
A solid understanding of finances and budgeting
