Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Boston (JF&CS) invites you to apply for our position of Autism Program Coordinator at Voice Colors.

Voice Colors is seeking an energetic and creative person to join our team. We are a health and wellness program designed for individuals on the autistic spectrum. Voice Colors primarily serves a young man on the autism spectrum but there is opportunity for small group work with peers from the JF&CS program. This individual is an artist and physical fitness/yoga enthusiast. Activities may be 1:1 or include a small group of peers. Voice Colors facilities include a large gym, yoga space, music area, art studio and more.

Voice Colors mission is to provide people on the autistic spectrum opportunities to learn, develop, and cultivate independent self-expression grounded in social relationships. Voice Colors is rooted in the belief that communication and health are the foundation for all vibrant social interactions.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• 15-25 hour position with some flexibility in terms of hours and days

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a multifaceted position that involves both administrative and teaching responsibilities. This position offers invaluable experience and greater understanding about autism and visually based communication systems. This position will work very closely with the family of the individual being served as well as working directly with other staff members. ABOUT YOU:

Qualified applicants should be:

• A Bachelor's Degree is required
• Comfortable teaching 1:1 or in a small group setting
• Open to working in a collaborative environment
• Enthusiastic about learning new ideas and trying different approaches
• Computer competent and have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Prior experience working with people with disabilities is not required
