What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental, Health, and Safety Director position at JF White?
Responsible for administration of company environmental, health & safety (EHS) programs nationally including publishing and updating policies and procedures, jobsite safety compliance, safety incentive programs, and monitoring/reporting of safety performance data.
- Maintain Company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure that Company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures are up to date
- Implement and oversee the Safety and Environmental Management programs conforming to ISO14001 and ISO 45001
- Ensure company-wide compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.
- Actively participate with local, state, and national agencies and resources to stay abreast of the latest technologies, processes, and regulations
- Compliance Auditing
- Ensures corrective action and oversight of safety staff
- Provides mentoring to safety staff and project management
- Coordinates/conducts appropriate Health and Safety training to all company supervisory and safety personnel. Ensure that all training conducted is effective, timely, and well documented.
- Evaluates field reports for all JF White projects.
- Immediately communicates any safety-related incidents to Corporate Management
- Participates in incident investigations/root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with safety staff to ensure that all jobsites are inspected on a regular basis. Follow-through with inspections to make sure they are documented, with appropriate corrective actions taken.
- Participates in the hiring process and hiring decision for safety personnel
- Responsible for marketing and maintaining insurance coverage for projects.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
