As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for your guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a seamless ordering experience. Your primary responsibilities include processing transactions accurately using Toast POS, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and delivering exceptional guest service. Your ability to multitask, attention to detail, and dedication to hospitality will be critical in ensuring a high-quality guest experience.
Hospitality Culture and Guest experience:
- Provide a warm and friendly greeting to each guest as they enter the restaurant.
- Set a high standard for hospitality in all interactions, ensuring every guest feels valued and appreciated.
- Accurately process guest orders and payments using Toast POS, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction.
- Assist guests with any questions about the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.

Follow Operations Standards:
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and dining area, including managing receipts, cash, and other payment methods with accuracy.
- Regularly replenish food items, utensils, and other supplies at the cashier station and service counters to ensure they are always available for guests.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including basic prep work, plating, and packaging of orders.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment as needed to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the restaurant.
- Ensure that trash is properly disposed of and that recycling procedures are followed in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in restocking inventory and supplies, ensuring that the restaurant is always prepared for service.
- Adhere to the Service Standards SOP at all times to provide consistently excellent service to all guests.
- Follow the Opening and Closing checklists to ensure the cashier station is prepared for service and properly secured at the end of the day.
- Ensure excellent and efficient preparation and handling of take-out and online orders, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
- Address any guest complaints or issues following the Complaint Handling SOP to resolve problems promptly and effectively.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, guest interaction, and cleanliness.
Catering and Special Events:
- If a guest inquires about catering or special events, immediately gather their contact information and promptly send it to the WHF Restaurant Group management team for follow-up.
Safety:
- Follow all food safety regulations and maintain a hygienic environment at the cashier station.
- Adhere to the Emergency SOP to ensure guest and staff safety during unexpected situations.
Cross-Collaboration:
- Work closely with the BOH team and the management team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Relay any guest feedback or special requests to the Location Manager.
Flexibility and Emergency Response:
- Be flexible and available for emergency or urgent meetings as required.
- Ensure any urgent issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Experience with Toast POS or willingness to learn the system.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
