Architect

We are looking for a Registered Architect licensed in the state of Alabama at minimum for transition to replacement of current Architect set for retirement. This position would require working with the Architect to understand and implement the work flow in this office, meet with current clients and consultants for this transition, and recruit new clients to the company. This firm works in commercal, industrial, educational, and government sectors of construction, with some residential clients. This firm has completed 20 years of service, the Architect has been in the construction industry for 45 years, and the employees have been at this firm for 15 years minimum.

Responsibilities:

• Control project from start to finish.
• Prepare or supervise preparation of all contract documents.
• Keep within budgets and timelines
• Consult with General Contractors in Design-Build or Construction Management projects.
• Consult with other design professionals and consultants for contract work.
• Coordinate with project consultants for client contracts for Architectural Services.
• Perform site inspections and prepare reports.
• Communicate progress with clients and consultants.

Skills needed for this position:

• Working experience as a registered architect, either with another firm or singularly. Salary based on experience, with a 10 percent increase upon completion of the transition.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit experience is a plus but not required.
• Clear communication and project management skills.

Education: Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent minimum.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 5 years (Preferred)
