JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports to: Director of Operations
Job Summary: Operates and oversees a
multi–unit market focusing on auditing stores, developing leaders, controlling
costs, recruiting, increasing sales, and supporting the store management teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all duties of the General
Manager.
·
Oversee operations of 3-6 units with
accountability for meeting financial targets and managing staff performance.
·
Daily visits units to audit and improve
operational efficiency, adherence to systems and procedures, daily and weekly
paperwork, and overall quality of service.
·
Continuously audits daily food
preparation (opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production),
deliveries, catering orders, and the unit’s sampling program.
·
Promotes unit team development and acts
as an advisor to unit staff to meet schedules or resolve technical or
operational problems.
·
Sets and achieves sales and labor targets
and assumes responsibility for cash, assets and overall P&L performance of
units managed.
·
Ensures adherence to operating policies
and procedures and communicates policy/procedure changes.
·
Manage all hiring, training, evaluating,
disciplining, and termination of store managers.
·
Applies extensive knowledge of policies,
procedures and practices utilized within units managed.
·
Conducts weekly manager’s meeting.
·
Completes preventive maintenance and
upkeep on store’s equipment and supplies.
·
Reviews and audits labor goals set by the
General Manager of each unit.
·
Performs other related duties as
required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·
Must be able to read and write and
communicate in English.
·
Position requires bending, reaching,
stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 50
pounds, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday.
Special Requirements:
·
Willing to work overtime, holidays,
weekends as business dictates and be on call 24/7.
·
Ability to establish priorities, work
independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
·
Ability to handle and resolve customer
threats and issues.
·
Ability to handle and resolve employee
issues.
·
Skills to use a personal computer and
various software packages (Word/Excel).
·
Ability to handle stress and high volume
operations.
Additional Qualifications:
·
Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant
operations, execution standards, and strategies.
·
A track record of developing associates
for higher levels of responsibility.
·
Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills, with experience implementing solutions.
