What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at JIT Synergy?
Based in a brand-new manufacturing facility, the Material Handler will be an integral part of our Business Operations team. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager , the Material Handler will process incoming shipments from our material vendor, ensuring all ordered product was received. The Material Handler will coordinate and inventory all incoming material at our Gilberts location and at our off-site warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Verify the accuracy and quantity of incoming deliveries
- Label each product and rack them accordingly
- Identify and locate products during the delivery process
- Maintain stock and inventory
- Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
- Keep all material handling equipment in good condition by conducting or signaling regular maintenance
- Convey purchasing agreements and keep data on availability of products in short supply
- Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
- Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
Time on Feet/Lifting Requirements: 70% time on feet; 25 lbs. regularly
Qualifications:

- Ability to prioritize and multi-task for maximum efficiency without sacrificing accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Professional and pleasant phone manner to service incoming and outgoing calls
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency using computers and software
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and general computer functions
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
Education and/or Experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with shipping & receiving paperwork (ex. bills of lading)
- High School diploma/GED required or Associates Degree in Business Administration; or related field (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 1-3 years in shipping and/or manufacturing environment with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Experience processing deliveries within a manufacturing setting/environment preferred
- Comfortable in fast-paced work environment where processes are still evolving and are updated as needed depending on business requirements
1st Shift: 7am -3:30pm
Must be flexible and work overtime when needed.
