Production Director

Who we are:

JJM is a 3rd party SQF-certified manufacturing facility for dry food and supplement products. We formulate, blend, and/or package powdered beverages, meal replacements, and supplements.

We are regulated by the FDA and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for the manufacturing, selling, and distributing of conventional food and beverages as well as dietary supplements.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Production Director to oversee our manufacturing operations. The Production Director will be responsible for managing the production and blending teams, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Duties:

- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands

-Build and develop client relationships to enhance the partnership
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products
- Supervise and train production staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering materials and tracking stock levels
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to improve production processes
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production, implementing solutions to minimize downtime.

-Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to maximize output and minimize costs while ensuring high quality.

-Partner with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure SOP’s are in place and in practice, critical control points are managed, certifications are achieved and maintained, and sanitation is effective

- Conduct regular performance evaluations of production team members

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Production Director or similar role in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of production processes, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and forklifts

- Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline.

- Experience with ERP system, Plex a plus
- Experience with powder filling packaging.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and logistics
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred

- Solid Understanding of OSHA, FDA and Food Safety regulations.

- Spanish speaking required
