This opportunity is very unique. This is a small family business with a three-prong model : personal property appraisals;
online auctions; and estate sales.
The primary functions of this full-time (but flexible) position are as follows : Support and setup of online
auctions / sales; assist personal property appraisers during on-site appraisals; and preparation of sales and marketing materials, including typing support, website management, and social media presence.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize, photograph, and list items using auction software, and follow up with shipping / pickup after sales
- Create and maintain an online catalog of merchandise
- Website updates
- Answer questions about items for sale
- Assist with shipping / mailing
- Accompany appraisers to on-site appraisals in client homes and use appraisal software to help compile appraisals
- Interact professionally with clients, buyers, and coworkers
SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Computer literate. Microsoft Office; website maintenance software
- Ability to work effectively without supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Accurate typing / spelling / grammar
- Able to pass a background check
- Familiarity with social networking media
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility and adaptability to different tasks as needed on a weekly basis
SALARY
Based on experience and qualifications.
Hours are flexible full-time. Some hybrid work is possible.
