Team Overview
LaSalle's Investor Relations ("IR") team represents LaSalle in the investor market and is responsible for all client relationships and capital raising globally. The team consists of over 35 professionals located in 12 offices worldwide. LaSalle has over 500 institutional clients globally, invested in private real estate as well as listed securities investment programs.
Objective of the Role
The successful candidate will be based in Chicago and will work closely with other IR team members across the North America region. The primary role of this position is to prospect, build relationships, and promote LaSalle's global offerings to small and medium size institutional investors and family offices. The main responsibility of this role is to identify new prospects, qualify investor demand for LaSalle's real estate products and to make a transition to the senior IR person in that region for an initial meeting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for making proactive calls to institutional investors and family offices across the United States which will increase these investors knowledge and awareness of LaSalle's products and maintain all contact information and relevant record keeping in LaSalle's client relationship management ("CRM") system. Primary client interaction will include phone, email, as well as periodic travel into the regions with the senior IR person covering that region.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Review market information and industry databases to identify new prospects.
Conduct proactive phone sales presentations to small and medium institutional investors and family offices across the United States highlighting LaSalle products.
Partner with the senior IR sales team to make introductions to new investors and to assist in the building of new relationships with investors.
Effectively profile investors to understand their interest level and investment process; identify investor needs and position LaSalle's products accordingly.
Maintain adequate record keeping in CRM system.
Develop a proficiency in all LaSalle products, the firm and the representative platforms in which LaSalle raises capital.
Coordinate with other IR professionals for the provision of correct marketing materials and information, participate in quarterly fund calls.
Participate in industry events as may be required.
Qualifications/Experience
2 - 5 years of experience in sales support role preferably in investment management, consulting, banking or real estate or similar capacity required.
Preference in holding FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. If candidate does not hold license(s), must be willing to obtain in a specified period of time.
Strong interest in sales and the financial markets required.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills required.
Strong organizational and time management skills required.
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) with a working knowledge of CRM systems.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business-related field.
Willingness to travel as needed (5%)
