What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Services position at JLL?
This position involves supporting the site's day to day 24 hour operations and maintenance objectives with emphasis on specialty critical infrastructure hardware. Preferably the candidate should have prior facility maintenance experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform rounds of critical environment hardware documenting operating conditions. i.e. electrical switch-gear, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, static transfer switches, power distribution units, precision air conditioners.
Respond to general and emergency alarm notification via the sites building control system. Perform precision cleaning in a critical environment areas.
Demonstrated the ability to follow technical procedures.
Perform work order tasks in support of the building requirements. i.e. shipping and receiving, light bulb replacement, roof top HVAC engineering maintenance.
Information technology asset management.
Overall general exterior and interior building property maintenance.
Create documentation in support of engineering preventive maintenance or corrective action tasks
Maintain good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant Stay up to date of all emergency procedures
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Maintain ethical, professional and courteous relations with contractors
Act as a team member with all employees of the management staff
Complies with all written JLL and regional company policies.
Meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Ability to work 24/7/365 4/3/3/4 12-hour schedule with 2-month rotation. Associates degree preferred, High School Diploma and/or Vocational School Certificate accepted.
Mechanical technical skill that enables the employee to function independently of an engineer more than fifty percent of the time.
Uses proper English when interacting with tenants. Interprets instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
Communicates essential information needed for decision making. Strong written, oral, and technical knowledge
Ability to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) on various equipment or processes at location.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual. Walking, lifting and climbing required
