The Energy & Sustainability Analyst will join JLL’s East Region Energy & Sustainability Centre of Excellence, to support the delivery of energy and sustainability products and services to a range of clients.

These include:
Managing utility supplies and data gathering from a wide range of sources
Maintain completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting
Providing insights from utility data
Resolve utility account issues by working with utility companies and bill processing firms if part of account Statement of Work
Reporting – generate site and portfolio reports from data management systems regarding energy consumption and projected consumption based on conservation opportunities
Energy Analysis –analyze properties within the portfolio for trends and anomalies in energy consumption
Sustainability Analysis – analyze waste, recycling and water trends.
Supporting energy managers with energy calculations
Participate in Energy Team process improvement projects
Assist with the generation of utility budgets
Review, submit, and manage rebate applications to utilities

Key responsibilities include:
Supporting data analysis and reporting to produce monthly, quarterly and annual energy, environmental and sustainability reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Identifying anomalies and perform gap analysis of the energy & sustainability data and work with client to include corrective actions, including measures which improve the efficiency of data capture.
Undertaking data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement and potential cost reduction.
Providing support to the Energy & Sustainability Manager on each account to provide the necessary energy and sustainability metrics that are being tracked.
Supporting the development and application of sustainability assessment tools to improve the sustainability of Real Estate transactions and fit-out projects
Assisting with the preparation of environmental reporting in accordance with globally recognized protocols, such as CDP and DJSI.
Liaising with team both internally and externally to support client Energy and Sustainability objectives.

Requirements -Essential
University Degree (Science, engineering, math or related fields)
Proficient in using MS Excel, Access and SQL to combine and analyze data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics. Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting.
Ability to perform data analysis and identify the gaps and trends in data
Detail-oriented with excellent time management and follow-through.
Ability to communicate effectively and provide detailed or brief explanation of the data analysis results

Requirements – Desirable

Basic understanding of HVAC and building energy systems
Basic understanding of Green House Gas Emission calculations
Familiarity with sustainability related certification and benchmarking tools
