What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Engineer position at JLL?
Essential Functions -
Demonstrate and enforce safety rules and behaviors.
Identify, enforce, and assess safety hazards and risks.
Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, control, and FLS(fire, life, safety) systems to keep building systems up to applicable standards.
Work with Vendors, Engineers and Management team on a daily basis.
Maintain HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels (e.g., cleaning, inspecting, changing parts).
Where necessary, record readings and adjust to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Comply with Client site policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Assist site Chief Engineer & Management team with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) and take appropriate actions.
Uses a computerized maintenance e-management work order system to open and close work orders. Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
Comply with all JLL/Client directed safety policies and procedures.
Recognize danger and safety hazards; propose methods to eliminate them.
Employment Standards:
Ability to operate and use a broad spectrum of tools and equipment skillfully and safely while performing heavy physical labor; read and comprehend plans and blueprints; follow and give oral and written instructions; a working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, multiple BAS system software, Access Control systems, Work Order and Maintenance software systems; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse customer base.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in at least one relevant trade in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting or a broad depth of knowledge in multiple trades.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical activities such as bending, standing, climbing, or walking. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in Building Maintenance, must be able to understand the need for Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary to perform a specific function safely.
