Residential Life Lead

The Residential Life Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of residential facilities, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for students. This position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and organizational skills to manage staff, coordinate repairs, and maintain building systems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff
• Schedule and assign daily work orders and projects
• Ensure proper use of time, materials, and equipment
  
  

Maintenance Operations:

• Oversee preventive maintenance programs
• Coordinate and prioritize repair requests
• Inspect completed work for quality and timeliness
• Implement and maintain safety protocols
  
  

Building Systems:

• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  
  

Emergency Response:

• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies
• Coordinate after-hours on-call schedules
  
  

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Prepare reports on maintenance operations and building conditions
  
  

Customer Service:

• Respond to inquiries from residents, staff, and administrators
• Ensure high levels of resident satisfaction with maintenance services
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and maintenance practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and maintenance management software
• Valid driver's license and ability to be on-call

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Capable of climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
• Stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods
