Funding Assistant

The Opportunity:

JMAC Lending has been quickly expanding and is seeking a talented Mortgage Funding Assistant. The Funding Assistant is responsible for providing support within the funding department. Responsibilities will include pipeline assignment and report management, of all incoming docs. The Funding Assistant will also be responsible for Assigning EOR and Scanned documents for review, approve and review outside title companies, send nightly reports to Closing agents. Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and Index/ Stack Signed Loan Documents (25%)

• Average 10 indexed/stacked files per day
• Properly index/stack documents in correct order for review
• Index required documents to include in file
• Validate electronic uploaded documents is ready for funder review
• Assign and Disburse Loans Between Funders 

Verify and Prepare Funding Figures and Wire Transfer (25%)

• Average 10 wire transfers per day
• Prepare wire transfers with no errors to various warehouse banks
• Prepare purchase advices for correspondent lenders
• Complete understanding of funding figures to explain wire details to applicable parties
• Perform MERS verification and verification of employment (if required) prior to wiring funds 

Maintain Warehouse Usage (20%)

• Utilize applicable assigned warehouses
• Review loan type to complete wire with correct warehouse bank
• Complete warehouse requirements based on loan specifics
• Resolve any suspense issues with warehouse banks to release wire 

Complete Closed Loan Package for Investor and Warehouse Delivery (15%)

• Ensure loan is delivered to shipping team
• Ship collateral packages to applicable warehouse
• Manage tracking information for collateral package and collateral suspense items

Assist Funders (15%)

• Communicate with funder to resolve any issues that may arise
• Work closely with assigned funder to complete required tasks

 Professional Experience, Education, and Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
• Ability to courteously and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Must be detail oriented and organized to efficiently complete tasks
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
• Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Possess exceptional and positive teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Hourly range is between $17-19 an hour depending on experience.
