Job Description:

The Coordinator – Physician Contracts is a self-directed individual who is responsible for ensuring contracted physicians are enrolled in applicable JMH trauma and covered ED billing programs. The Coordinator – Physician Contracts will work closely with contract liaisons and legal department to support all aspects of the physician contracting process.

The Coordinator – Physician Contracts reports to the Director of Physician Contracting and must be a detailed oriented team player and effective communicator who is able to multi-task and support the overall success and compliance of JMH’s contracts with physicians. This individual will be charged with the maintenance and oversight of the physician contracts database.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required

Experience:

  • 3 years Healthcare Setting Required
  • 2 years Physician Relations Required
  • 1 year Database Management Required
  • Medicare/Medi-Cal provider enrollment process Preferred
  • Physician Contracting Preferred

Skills:

  • Knowledge with the Medicare and Medi-Cal provider enrollment processes and systems
  • Ability to find and extract key contractual information for reports/summaries
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines in a complex, goal-oriented environment
  • Experience working with physicians and medical offices;
  • Excellent organizational skills (detailed oriented, accurate and organized)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Excellent computer experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), database management, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare written reports
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with a high degree of professionalism
  • Proficient in financial calculations and computations
