Job Description
Responsible for the scheduling, facilitation and administering and scoring of the adult basic education (TABE) test, and the GED Official Practice Test (OPT).
- Schedules the GED test.
- Maintains all records associated with the tests.
- Determines the results of TABE test as satisfactory or unsatisfactory based on Center and DOL procedures and criteria.
- Maintains a high degree of discipline within the testing room.
- Compiles and distributes a list of each student’s test results to appropriate department heads.
- Submits weekly activity reports to the Academic Manager.
- Conducts individual and group counseling sessions with assigned students regarding educational and personal development.
- Maintains a safe environment for all computer equipment, data files, supplies, etc.
- Establishes and maintains confidential files and records.
- Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
- Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
- Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
- Attends all required staff training opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One-year related experience.
- Experience working with diverse population of youth.
- A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
