The Position:
An automotive supplier in PLYMOUTH, MI is looking for Polyworks CMM Programmer (Leica / Polyworks).

Shift: 1st.
WAGE:
$25 - $30 based on skillset and experience.

Job Description

• Develops, qualifies, and maintains programs for inspection routines.
• Inspects and approves first piece at start of production.
• Inspects and approves final inspections prior to delivery.
• Reads blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances for a variety of milled, and fabricated weldments.
• Ensures that containment activities take place when discrepancies are identified.
• Work with Production leads to relay and interpret inspection findings.
• Review and refine data collection requirements according to customer drawings, models, work orders, purchase orders, sketches and PPAP requirements.
• Participates in the corrective action and preventative action processes.
• Participates in Gage R & R Studies.
• Utilizes a wide variety of inspection tools to complete dimensional reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have reliable transportation
• Read/Speak & understand the English Language
• Three to five years’ related experience and/or training;
• or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma and three to five years related experience.
• GD&T experience for print reading.
• Basic caliper, micrometer, and bore gage knowledge.

Conducting (drug screening and/or background check) report inquiries will be necessary for employment purposes.

• Leica CMM machines: 1 year (Preferred)
• Polyworks (strongly preferred but not mandatory): 1 year (Preferred)
• CMM Programming: 3 years (Required)
• Basic caliper, micrometer, and bore gage knowledge.: 1 year (Preferred)
• GD&T experience for print reading.: 1 year (Preferred)
