What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Trainer position at Job Juncture?
The role will identify gaps in technological proficiency in order to design and deliver effective technology training in both one-on-one and group sessions. Collaborate with IT and business users to develop training goals. You will also work with IT support to assist with daily queue of call-in or emailed requests and provide ad-hoc training when necessary.
What you will do:
- Identify training needs for staff and develop content based on those needs.
- Coordinate all on-the-job training.
- Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires
- Work with outside vendors to coordinate training session on suitable content for courses
- Work with administrative managers to establish annual targets for minimum level of job knowledge, mandatory training classes, and learning objectives for staff
- Be proficient with remote technologies to perform distance learning, such as remote desktop control, voice and video web cams, and virtual technologies
- Create a self-service knowledge base for reference, including recorded training sessions, video conference, and desktop sessions
- Develop and organize training materials, visual aids, and other education materials
- Develop and maintain training materials
- Proactively keep in touch with industry trends and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years training experience in a business setting is required.
- Microsoft Office Specialist Certification preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products including document assembly tools and experience with a document management system
- Experience with staff development and/or human resources management.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of desktop applications, including, MS Office
- Proven experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques
- Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software
- Interpersonal skills necessary to train others in computer systems
- Ability to communicate problems with leadership as they become known
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work on-site downtown Cleveland.
