What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at Job Juncture?
Master Production Planner
JOB SUMMARY:
In collaboration with the Senior Production Manager, Procurement Manager and
Warehouse Manager, the Master Production Planners main function is to drive material
flow from receipt of raw goods to order fulfillment.
REPRESENTATIVE LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Review each job and sales order for material requirements. Meet with
Procurement Manager as necessary to review incoming materials and ensure
purchase orders are generated to satisfy upcoming jobs.
2) Generate raw material pick list for each shop floor order. It is imperative to
review material pull queue daily and throughout the day if necessary, to ensure
priority list by date and/or customer need is met.
3) Build/review bill of materials for each job and generate job traveler. Maintain a
comprehensive schedule and prioritize jobs to be completed on shop floor based
on due date and/or customer needs.
4) Ensure materials are transferred between plants as needed to supply jobs on all
production assets.
5) Monitor and review inventory levels for key raw materials including paper, film,
silicone, resins, etc.
6) Additional tasks as assigned by management.
