Essential Functions:
We are seeking an exceptional and enthusiastic Quality Manager to join our team. As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for creating and submitting PPAPs, developing and implementing process procedures to eliminate scrap and non-conformance, and establishing effective measurement systems. Your expertise in CMM, GD&T, and functional gages will be instrumental in maintaining the precision and accuracy of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the entire PPAP process, from initiation to completion, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in documentation.
- Develop, introduce, and implement process procedures that enhance efficiency and effectiveness, eliminating scrap and non-conformance across all departments.
- Establish and maintain a robust measurement system, utilizing appropriate PPM metrics to monitor and measure process capabilities and defect rates, both internally and externally.
- Utilize advanced CMM techniques to perform accurate and precise inspections, ensuring adherence to specified tolerances.
- Apply your expertise in GD&T to interpret part requirements, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Effectively utilize functional gages based on GD&T, ensuring accurate verification of part functionality.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, the following qualifications are needed:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of quality principles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, including managing Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Preferred certification in Quality (CQA, CQE, CQM), showcasing your dedication to professional excellence.
- Experience working with ISO, IATF, ITAR/DFAR systems, and familiarity with internal and external audit processes.
- Oversee and lead all corrective actions, utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8-D, to address internal, external, and vendor quality issues.
- Proficient in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), ensuring effective implementation of quality requirements throughout the product development process.
- Strong proficiency in Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including gage R&R, to ensure accurate and reliable measurement results.
