Description for QA Manager:

· Support and manage all aspects of Quality and environmental Management Systems

· Responsible for the up keep and managing hazardous communication program (this includes training for chemical spills, global harmonization program, and universal waste)

· Coordinate, documents and manage all aspects of hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, management, and disposal

· Maintain and manage Quality First program, calibration of lab and production equipment, raw material and finished production inspection and disposition, new product authorization processes, vendor compliance, and much more.

· Ensure all in-house systems and procedures are up to date, revied and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies

· Collect data for energy consumption, quality costs, and recycling metrics and chart results monthly for local and corporate offices

· Conduct and oversee daily shop floor first article and subsequent inspections to include drawing review, cut size review, adherence to specifications, fit and function for production orders.

· Determine and document when engineering change requests for drawings of specifications are needed

· Work with technical and sales employees on decisions involving any customer applications.

· Investigate all customer complains and prepare technical reports with the detailed findings.

· Contribute, create, and implement policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve performance

· Responsible for internal and external audits

· Conduct yearly audits for company and assist with supplier audits

Requirements for QA Manager:

· MUST HAVE Bachelors degree

· 5 years of manufacturing experience & leadership

· ISO 9001 & 14001 experience

· Environmental management experience

· Six sigma certification preferred

· Lean manufacturing background

· Certificate in RCRA and DOT preferred

· Certificate in Auditing ISO 9001 and 14001 preferred

· Knowledge in tool/fixture design and process improvement

· Thorough understanding of ISO Quality
